BRASS
WOVEN WIRE CLOTH
|
| Low brass is the most popular brass
alloy for wire cloth screens. With an analysis of 80% copper and 20% zinc, low brass
offers good resistance to corrosion like copper although its electrical and thermal
conductivity are lower. Cartridge brass with an
analysis of 70% copper and 30% zinc is slightly higher in strength although
more difficult to weave. The tensile properties of brass screen is higher than those
of copper with some sacrifice in formability. |
