Aluminum Fly Screens
Aluminum fly screening is more expensive than fiberglass but also much more durable. It may be cut or trimmed with scissors or light weight sheet metal hand shears. This material performs well with children and small pets.

Bronze Fly Screens
Bronze fly screens are 90% Copper and 10% Zinc. Bronze is very durable, although much more expensive than aluminum. It is used to preserve appearances in historical districts and in higher priced homes by builders who demand the combination of top quality and aesthetics.

Galvanized Steel Fly Screens
Galvanized steel fly screening is slightly tougher than Aluminum although it is
more difficult to work with and will eventually rust out.

Stainless Steel Fly Screens
The initial cost of Stainless Steel fly screening is significantly higher than aluminum. The long term life expectancy of stainless steel fly screens is worthy of the investment. This specification group is the most durable screening available.
The 0.009" wire diameter (standard) performs well around children and small to medium size pets. The optional 0.011" wire diameter is stronger to last longer around pets.
