(D + O)
D = Wire Diameter
O = Opening Size
 
EXAMPLE 1
Assume the following:
The wire diameter is 0.010"
The opening size is 0.015"
 
1   Add the wire diameter (D) and the opening size (O) 0.010 + 0.015 = 0.025
2   Divide 1 by the result above. 1 / 0.025 = 40
3   The Mesh Count is : 40
       
 
EXAMPLE 2
Assume the following:
The wire diameter is 0.0045"
The opening size is .0055"
 
1   Add the wire diameter (D) and the opening size (O) 0.0045 + 0.0055 = 0.010
2   Divide 1 by the result above. 1 / 0.010 = 100
3   The Mesh Count is : 100
